The EFP Working Group gathered in Rome for its 20th Meeting
On 3rd and 4th of November, the EETS Facilitation Platform gathered in Rome for its 20th Working Group Meeting, kindly hosted by AISCAT. More than 70 participants from across Europe came together for two days of constructive discussions and exchange.
The agenda covered a wide range of topics, from tolling in Italy, over developments on EETS and Eurovignette from the European Commission to discussions on Artificial Intelligence & Cyber Security. Toll Chargers, EETS Providers and Service Providers also had the opportunity to share their latest news and status updates during our traditional tour de table.
After a productive first day, participants enjoyed a dinner in the heart of Rome, providing a great opportunity for informal exchange and networking.
To wrap it up, the implementation of EETS is expanding, harmonization is improving, and market shares of EETS tolling services within Europe's tolling domain are increasing significantly. However, there is still some way to go before achieving EETS coverage in all European toll domains.
A big thank you to AISCAT for their warm hospitality and excellent organisation, and to all participants for their active contributions and valuable discussions.
We are already looking forward to our next EFP Working Group Meeting in Warsaw in spring 2027!
