Record Attendance marks Milestone at EETS Facilitation Platform Meeting in Copenhagen

On 28th and 29th of October, the EETS Facilitation Platform gathered in Copenhagen for its 18th Working Group Meeting, hosted by Sund & Bælt. The meeting once again brought together a broad range of experts and stakeholders from across Europe for two days of constructive discussions and exchange.

With nearly 50 member organizations now part of the EFP and more than 70 meeting participants, the Copenhagen meeting saw the highest attendance in the platform's history, reflecting the growing importance of the European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) in facilitating cross-border mobility and interoperability.

The agenda covered current developments in European tolling and ongoing efforts to enhance harmonisation across EETS domains. Participants discussed the need for continued innovation and harmonisation, particularly in light of evolving EU legislation and technological advancements. A highlight of the meeting was the creation of the first joint EFP statement on the topic of the CO2 trailer proposal, which was sent to DG MOVE on the same day.

After a productive first day, participants enjoyed a special evening at the Copenhagen Planetarium, followed by dinner, offering the perfect setting for informal networking and continued dialogue.

A big thank you to our hosts, Sund & Bælt, for their warm hospitality and excellent organization.

We are already looking forward to our next EFP Working Group Meeting taking place in Brussels in spring 2026!
