Celebrating Milestones at the 19th EFP Working Group Meeting in Brussels
On 1th and 2nd of April 2026, the EETS Facilitation Platform convened in Brussels for its 19th Working Group Meeting, kindly hosted by Satellic as part of the celebrations marking 10 years of tolling in Belgium.
The meeting brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from across Europe to discuss the latest developments in EETS and to exchange insights on the future of tolling. This edition was particularly special, as participants celebrated not only a decade of Belgian tolling operations but also 10 years of the EFP, highlighting the platform's key role in fostering collaboration and harmonisation across Europe.
The agenda covered a wide range of important topics, including updates from the European Commission (DG MOVE), discussions on the future of EETS focusing on the upcoming revision of the EETS Directive and technical insights into Euro emission class 7. Participants also engaged in interactive exchanges through updates from Toll Chargers, EETS Providers and Service Providers. A highlight of the meeting was the networking event hosted by Satellic, featuring an outstanding keynote by Peter Hinssen on AI, followed by an excellent dinner in a great atmosphere. A sincere thank you to Satellic for the excellent organisation and warm hospitality.
We look forward to continuing this journey together at the next EFP Working Group Meeting in Rome in autumn 2026!
